Review:

If you have a household with more than one TV set but use satellite or digital cable it sometimes is nice to have a component video switch that can accept multiple inputs and has multiple outputs. The cables to go 40973 3×5 component video matrix selector switch is a great option that will help overcome this issue by allowing 3 component video, audio and/or TOSlink female inputs and 5 component video, audio and/or TOSlink female outputs. After connecting your devices to the component video switch you will be able to watch any picture on any compatible output device.

This is a great device to use if you want to split inputs to more than one output device. This component video switch will solve that problem very easily and will retain the quality that is input. Something that was critical for me was retaining a high quality in picture or sound and this device answered the call perfectly. Another plus for this switch is the programmable remote control. Hands down this is very handy as I can program how to split inputs, direct inputs and switch inputs very easily. The buttons on the front of the device work great too, but being able to use the remote for this purpose is great when I am performing video editing.

Component video switches are handy pieces of equipment that make sharing inputs or consolidating an output a cinch. One thing that you have to remember though is if you have a large residence or office and are using a component video switch such as this, you may require a very large amount of cabling. This can really add to the costs of this switch, as high quality cables can be rather expensive. But if you need all the outputs this switch delivers, then cabling is just a fact of life for you!

I also thought it might be nice to have more inputs, but it’s not too necessary; I guess it’s just the “always want more” attitude.

This is a great device and moderately priced; it will solve a lot of issues and is perfect for a household or a SOHO. If you’re looking to retain quality and output a single output to multiple destinations this is definitely worth a look.
